Blocking and striking with the same leg or arm? What happens to other weapons we carry every day? I must tell you that although I have achieved some success with this method of counterattack, it does have its shortcomings...
Advantages of using the same limb block and strike
Create an open now
I blocked my hand tightly to increase my blocking or parry power. Therefore, my opponent or attacker must reach out to me and create an opening on the same side.
One aspect of preventing syndrome
I can't tell you how many experienced martial artists think they have only one limb that can be blocked. This seems especially true if their front hand has already executed an attack. For some reason, the rear stop does not seem to develop into a reflection like many martial artists, because I want to see its development. Therefore, if the hand suddenly stretches outward, they will almost see a shock when they see a fist or a knife strike on the unprotected side of the head or neck.
Because these martial artists are almost always blocked by a limb, they often try to get me back to the neighborhood. Even so, they did not win because having threatening weapons in their defense was an unusual experience for them.
Disadvantages of blocking and striking with the same limb
This is not feasible for a martial artist with the same resistance.
Now think about it, then say: "Okay, that's me." When was the last time your hand was trapped, avoiding being hit or kicked by your other hand, not even thinking of it?
Have a tendency to block and then counterattack
I found myself paused after a block and counterattacked with the same restrictions, not just continuing. It happened! If he/she or you have had a bad day there, then you may argue with some guys who might kill you to make sure you are not hit!
Technically it slows down!
Think about it. You are against the implementation of the correct uppercut. You block the inside with your left hand and counterattack with your right hand, faster! This is one of the reasons I am surprised by the same limb blockage and blow work!
Example of using the same limb block and tap
These are my personally successful combinations that let you know what I mean. Please do not try these unless directed by a qualified instructor.
Right hook
Keep the knife block inside to the outside.
Left hooked to the chin.
Right hook
Knife block left inside to the outside
Stay outside and hit the neck with a knife.
Right hook
Knife block outside to the inside
Right back fist to the nose
Right hook
Knife block outside to the inside
Knife from the inside out - hand to neck attack
Right round house Groin kick [skull, shoe or toe]
Lift your left knee
Left front kicked into the groin, did not put down the foot.
Right round house Groin kick [skull, shoe or toe]
Raise the right knee
Kick your right foot to support your knees and don't put your feet down.
in conclusion
You can see that you have some martial arts skills to either consider, practice, or of course, like some martial artists, nothing. The choice is yours, expanding your horizons by finding out my theoretical mistakes after testing or slowly agreeing to them, changing them and making them your own.
