Since the university, tuna noodles have been one of my favorite foods to eat and prepare. I don't remember how many canned tuna I opened and consumed. If I could put all the cans together, I believe I could build a rather huge totem pole. I am doing martial arts in the school swimming school team after class, so you can imagine how hungry I am when I get home. I often find myself rushing to attack the refrigerator and I am disappointed that I can't find anything to eat. Because of swimming and martial arts, I always pay attention to my weight. I always pay attention to the amount of calories and food intake. I did try to observe calories, but it was difficult for me to control the amount of food I wanted to eat because I thought I was always hungry.
Knowing that the calories of fish are lower than beef, pork and chicken, our coaches always encourage us to eat more seafood, vegetables, pasta and noodles than meat. I don't like seafood very much, but the irony is that I like to eat canned sardines and canned tuna.
I often buy a can of canned tuna and canned sardines and keep stocks. I still have a lot of pasta, rice and noodles. Whenever I can't find anything to eat in the fridge, I will combine these things to make myself a healthy meal. I found that sardines are good for rice, and tuna is delicious. Compared to sardines, I found that tuna and noodles are more diverse in many ways, because I can eat it as it is or put it in a sandwich, or add it to vegetables to make a good vegetable tuna noodle salad. Tuna noodles are also suitable for rice, cooked or baked potatoes, and even bread. Tuna noodles are like my "Army Kitchen Swiss Knife", mixed with anything and still taste good.
This is one of the tuna and noodle recipes I liked since college, enjoy!
