A few years ago, I realized that a young girl was kidnapped on the way to the northeastern state of Indiana. A few days later, her body was found in central Indiana. She was sexually assaulted and murdered. I ask, why is this so. I asked what would happen on the way to other children and adults.
The crime occurred before the budget cuts were eliminated, which put more children at risk of being kidnapped. Walking to school should be safe every day. These budget cuts that make children more vulnerable to predators should be corrected. These cuts should not be allowed. I happen to live in a state where the governor uses his power to cut sharply in the education process simply because the elected state director has won more votes than him. This is shameful.
I can't help but wonder how this kind of thing is avoided. Children need a way to draw attention to situations that put them at risk. The young girl was known by one of the kidnappers. It is likely that at least one kidnapper is what she knows. I don't believe that the girl accepted the ride.
A few days later, the local authorities found a suspect. The close male authorities did not allow them to enter his residence. The authorities returned with a search warrant. What they found was not easy to understand. The suspect's wife and three children were found murdered in their residence. The suspect was basically arrested and sentenced to jail.
The kidnapped girl lived near the suspect. According to reports, one of the suspect's daughters is in the same class as the kidnapped girl and they are friends.
I have three of my own daughters. I have always stressed the importance of safety. Their rebuttal is that we live in a small city, and those things did not happen here. Our city is 20 miles from the street that takes place. I am still thinking about why this happens and why I feel I need to understand and provide a way to keep this happening again.
Then I remember that for a while, my eldest daughter told me that a school partner also had a girl who confided to her that she was sexually abused at home. This was in the late 1980s. My answer is wow, what prompted her to tell you? I know the course has a good touch and a bad touch part. My daughter is crying because she is very sorry for the girl in the class. I have never seen the father's name in our paper because of similar allegations.
In my opinion, a similar plan may have been offered to the daughters of the abducted girls and suspects. I don't know what happened. I have a strong feeling that my daughter talks to friends and possible mothers. The suspects discovered and began to eliminate everyone who might pose a threat.
I am a supplier to the farmers market in the city, and the crime has taken place for several years. A gentleman stayed in my area and asked about the personal protective products I exhibited. I explained them and commented on why I think the children should give a sharp alert or whistle to fend off predators who prey on children. The gentleman mentioned the name of the kidnapped girl. I admit that this is the incident I am referring to. He told me that he was the detective in charge of the case. I told him what I thought was the cause of the result. I told him I didn't believe the girl accepted a ride. He let me know that they did meet each other. He asked if anyone would realize what was happening even with a loud audio device. This is a question that can never be answered.
The suspect later hanged himself in jail before the trial.
