African Girl - A Psychological Inquiry Linguistic Analysis of Biographical Self-Description

abstract:

In this article, I will examine a single biographical insight case explained by linguistic analysis techniques that is tightly integrated with transactional analysis terminology. This article will first consider the language structure in psychotherapy as an insight into parental bans and orders, which in turn will affect the developing personality. This written form of psychoanalysis saves treatment time and saves the customer's education in writing and using words.

Introduction:

When the client receives treatment, the first meeting will be resolved through the catharsis of the customer story. The therapist listens, records and clarifies the understanding. When this initial story was told, the first hour was over and a second appointment was being arranged, which would take a deeper look at the customer who had the problem. However, between this homework is a good start, the customer's own self-examination. This is done by asking the client to write a short biography of their development. Just one A4 page is all you need. This helps the customer to focus only on important events, rather than using a tangent as an example to illustrate the reference point. The first third of the page should be, I was born..., I grew up... This is my family... The second part should be customer experience education, conflict, trauma, etc. The age of development. The last third should be the "now and now" situation and what makes them seek treatment. This has three purposes. First, customers have the opportunity to self-reflect and review their own versions of early life experiences. The second helps them to more clearly recall the early forgotten episodic memory during treatment. Finally, the therapist can perform linguistic analysis from Writing. A written form should be sent by email for analysis before the customer enters the next session. Upon receipt of this document, the therapist should be fully acquainted with the language analysis and trading terms. The therapist then analyzes the biographies of the third course of treatment.

method:

Although the process of linguistic analysis is both an art and a method of inquiry, the techniques for developing biographical materials require considerable practice. The main content of the analysis is not the actual content of the biography, but the words and expressions used to explain the situation and relationship. In transaction analysis, the use of terms such as parental bans, commands, drivers, life locations and life scripting procedures are useful terms for checking the word and phrase content in a biography, which can be understood and reflected by both the therapist and the client. according to. Although cognitive therapy is useful in challenging wrong thinking, it has little therapeutic power in its analysis, and the human approach has little success except for personality growth, and there is little clinical support. Only T.A. has the comprehensive ability of analysis, which can correctly understand language analysis as a way of deep reflection on customers in treatment.

Client:

The client of this example is a 23-year-old African girl from East Africa. The client voluntarily publishes and reviews her biography analysis. Although her name was concealed, the biography was written as she wrote and was entrusted to the therapist. Although it is normal to change the name and change certain locations to protect privacy during publication, the customer has agreed to allow identification in this publication.

biography:

In this section, I will print a section first and then display the analysis. Of course, culture, social status and the economy can influence those who reflect past events, which should be noted in any biography. They are not an accurate reflection of real events, but recall memories from today's adult perspective.

Part I: Early Childhood

I was born in the hospital in 1990 and called Lubaga Hospital. I don't know much about my childhood, but I will tell you a little about what I know. Ok, my childhood is not easy, and it is not difficult. I don't remember seeing my mother at any time. I know that she died after giving birth to me a month later. My father died when he was about one year old. I have two sisters [Barbara and Viola] and are the youngest of them, but my father has two wives who died a year after their death. One of the ladies gave birth to three children and two girls [Rita and Sylvia] plus one boy called Drake and the other two boys [Andrew and Kennedy] but because my mother did not give birth. A baby boy, his father passed away relatives, decided that the youngest boy became the hair of all of our father's assets, this is Drake.

Andrew is the oldest, he has three children, now Kennedy has no children, my sister Barbara is the next one, she has a baby girl and then viola, just looking forward to a baby girl, then myself, I don't have No child is what I expected. Then Rita followed me. She had two children. Now she follows Drake. He doesn't. Finally, Sylvia refuses to study and decides to find a job at the barber shop.

When our parents died, we were all separated by relatives. We grew up in different ways and had different behaviors. I am myself, Barbara and Drake, we were taken away by my father's brother, who is now our uncle. Rita was taken away by an aunt alone, she was very abusing her, and our uncle decided to take her to his position, when she was 17 years old. Viola was taken to the place where she grew up, but after her sixth grade, she decided to leave the house and go to makidye to rent her own house, because the brothers and sisters she grew up with her were not very good. Silvia joined my family after graduating from elementary school because she always wanted to be with us, so she decided to flee where she was going to live with us in my uncle's place in Katyby. Andrew has his own family, Kennedy has become a ganja man, and we don't know where he is when I speak. Among my brothers and sisters, I am the only one who has successfully climbed the summit because I am the only one who has worked very hard to complete college and graduate. Barbara went to college, but she never graduated because she had to remake. On the other hand, Viola tried, and she is still working hard until now, but since she left home, she paid her own tuition, and now she and her boyfriend paid her tuition. Rita stopped at the fourth grade, Drake stopped in the second year, and Silvia was in the second year. Andrew and Kennedy have never been to school. So this is my family.

Part I: Language Analysis

The first thing is that the frustration shown in the lines, I don't know much about you and what I know, the next step is that this phrase is not easy and the next is not difficult, which shows the ambivalence of growth. In this sentence, I know that she died after a month of death [mother] performance, fantasy guilty. Then, my father died, and when I was one year old, I felt guilty. Then the two steps of the parents also died within a month. The information here is for children, everyone is dead? The next phrase, the boy of the heir, the feeling of powerlessness in the light of an adult now determines her destiny. Life is unfair, which leads to the idea of fatalism. The next important phrase is, I don't have any children or look forward to one, which may be the wish to achieve? The last words about brothers and sisters have failed in education, and it can be proved that I don't care about them in the T.A. clause. The next section will discuss the separation of children and family members. This shows that the customer took my evidence that they are not good at the other children's life, they failed and I succeeded. She also expressed a social comparison of attitudes towards others. Some elements of raising parents appear here for her abused sister. In order to meet the image of the adopted new father, her uncle used an adaptive child posture and satisfactorily showed pride in the achievements of others in the family. Early examples come from older sisters, men are manipulated to get money and safety, and small professors of adaptive children are committed to the social observation of survival and important others.

Part II: Development Years

I grew up with Barbra and my uncle's children, and we are all fine. Nothing discriminates against our uncles and his wife at home, really loves us, though not the same. But on my list, because they managed to educate me to go to college because of them, so I won't complain. As a child, I am very stubborn. I remember that I didn't have any shoes to go to school during the whole semester. Because my mother was tired of buying shoes for me every semester, she wanted to teach me a lesson that I would never wear shoes again. We used to play with our neighbors and we can play a variety of games that you can imagine. I remember one day we were eating noodles, then I stepped on a sharp object, from the bottom of my leg to the top, I had to live in the hospital because it allowed me to repeat classes. Going back to my mother is like all African parents who have beaten us when you did something wrong. She never wants to see anyone sitting or doing nothing. At some point I think my mother is abusing me and my sister because she used to let us do most of the work at home and leave our children watching TV but now I really appreciate her so much teaching work and become a very hard girl, because there is nothing I can't do for myself now.

For the sake of sincerity, I don't know the name of my kindergarten, but when I was in kindergarten, they used to call it Pengda, but now it has a new name called kitebi new model. During my kindergarten...
